TADBURN YOUTH FC 6-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT - 25 & 26 JUNE 2011
We would like to invite you to participate in the Tadburn Youth FC Annual 6-A-Side Football Tournament. The event will again be held at Mountbatten School, Romsey, covering age groups U7’s to U16’s (2010/2011 Season). Please see the attached time schedule for the day and time for each age group.
The tournament will again be played on a round-robin basis, with a maximum of 16 teams in each age group, except for the Under 7 & 8 and Under 15 & 16, where there will be a maximum of 8 teams entered. Teams will play initially in a league format, with the top two teams in each league progressing through to a Main Cup competition and the remaining teams into a Subsidiary/Plate Cup. This way we can ensure each team gets to play at least 4 games, and interest for all is maintained throughout the day! Trophies will be awarded to members of both the winning and losing finalists in each competition.
The Under 7 and Under 8 category will be a non-competitive event, in line with FA Regulations. Therefore this will be played on a round-robin basis, with as many games as possible for each team, but no qualification into a Main Cup or Plate. Medals will be awarded to players from all teams in these youngest age groups.
If you would like to attend, please download the application form and return it to the address shown on the form, together with a cheque for the correct remittance, no later than the 16th May 2010. Completed applications will be accepted on a ‘first come first served’ basis. All applicants will be advised as soon as possible to confirm their place in the tournament.
All participating Clubs must be affiliated to a County Youth Football Association (FA). Under 7 & Under 8 players must have been eligible to play small-sided football under FA Rules during the 2010/2011 season, to meet the minimum age requirement.
Successful applications will receive written/eMail acknowledgement in late May 2011, followed by final details, including location map, final timings and Team Registration Forms closer to the Tournament date – these forms will need to be completed and handed in when registering on the day.
