Welcome to Romsey Town YFC.
The 2010/11 season was a big year for the club with the change of name from Tadburn, formed in 1972. The change will hopefully cement youth football in Romsey for future generations and have greater links to Romsey Town FC. As for the running of the club, greater emphasis will be placed on additional training for all age groups resulting in success for the players and club. We now have 16 teams which in itself brings organisational challenges, however with the support of our team managers and coaches who give up their time to attend monthly meetings along with running the teams demonstrates we have fantastic commitment to the club. Thank you.
We also established an Academy for players between the ages of 4 & 7 who will eventually be part of teams joining the mini league. Thank you to all those associated with forming this along with the parents’ support.
May I also thank all our sponsors without whom we would not be able to finance the club. Their continued support is greatly appreciated by all those connected with Romsey.
One final thank you is to all teams that enter our 6 a side tournament held in June at Mountbatten school. Every year we are pleased with the support and success of the weekend with over 120 teams entering. We hope to see you next year.
I hope the players, managers, coaches and parents have a great 2011/2012 season.
